Makeover: Salvation Army $50 dresser

Remember our Salvation Army dresser? Here's the before and after! This was painted with "Heirloom White" paint and has a final coat that is mixed with a little "opalescence pearl" so that it has a really subtle luster/gleam. This is Mando's new dresser in what we are now terming "the serenity zone" (our master bedroom that had never received any decorating attention whatsoever). Notice the lovely paint color: it's a soft blue ("Chanteuse" by Pratt and Lambert) that is very soothing. Also notice the big space on the wall above the dresser: that's the area that we need to fill with something big, light, and artistic. Mom--can we borrow your "Monet" painting for a few years?

Wow, Jana! That looks great. You guys could really do this for a living, you think? How fun!

Gorgeous! I love the paint color, too! Now we'll have to come visit so we can see the whole new room (when it's done).
